Strong Middle PHP Engineer (Lviv or Odesa preferred)

Position Overview As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing the backend components of Impactable’s Demand Generation Platform - DemandSense. It is a SaaS application developed for marketing automation, optimization and improving ad performance. For more information visit our website page.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve existing functionality, implement new features, and ensure the seamless integration of our platform with external systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using PHP (Laravel) to support the core functionalities of our marketing automation platform.
• Optimize application performance and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues as they arise
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend the functionality of our platform and facilitate seamless data exchange.
• Maintain and monitor server infrastructure on AWS, including provisioning and configuring EC2 instances.
• Monitor system logs and metrics, implement monitoring and alerting solutions (when needed), and respond to incidents and alerts in a timely manner to minimize downtime and mitigate potential risks.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing web applications with Laravel for backend
• Experience with JSON API is a plus
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, with experience designing and optimizing database schemas and queries
• Proven experience working with large volumes of data
• Experience in seamless integration and maintenance of 3rd party services, API monitoring, and management
• Familiarity with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda, and experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and SLAs.
• English intermediate level

Preference Given to Candidates With

• Experience in Front-end area (e.g. React)
• Experience in the marketing field, understanding of contemporary marketing trends
