About the Role
As a Senior Software Developer, you will join a talented engineering team working on one of the world’s largest platforms, serving billions of daily impressions.
This is a senior-level Individual Contributor (IC) role focused on hands-on software engineering, technical ownership, and delivering complex solutions. While the role involves mentoring and supporting other developers, it does not include direct people management responsibilities. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate strong technical autonomy, take ownership of key components, and contribute to architectural and engineering decisions.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications and services. Working across PHP, JavaScript, and modern backend and frontend technologies, you will contribute to complex engineering challenges involving large-scale data processing, distributed systems, and real-time applications.
We are looking for a strong engineering professional who combines deep technical expertise with a proactive approach to problem-solving and practical experience leveraging AI tools to improve software development workflows.
What You’ll Be Doing
Architect, develop, and maintain scalable applications, microservices, and APIs, primarily using PHP and the Laravel framework.
Work with JavaScript and modern frontend technologies to build and maintain high-quality, responsive, and efficient applications.
Leverage backend technologies to support real-time data processing and high-volume, secure data pipelines.
Design and optimize solutions involving caching mechanisms, messaging queues, databases, and internal and third-party integrations.
Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability across complex systems.
Apply modern AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, code reviews, and problem-solving.
Take ownership of technical components and domain knowledge, ensuring high-quality implementation and long-term maintainability.
Contribute to architectural decisions, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.
Support and mentor junior and intermediate developers through knowledge sharing, pull requests, and code reviews.
Help foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
Must-Haves:
7+ years of professional software development experience, with strong engineering expertise and a proven track record of delivering complex solutions.
Strong hands-on experience with PHP and JavaScript, including backend development and modern frontend technologies.
Solid knowledge of PHP frameworks, preferably Laravel, Symfony, Yii, or similar.
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, algorithms, computational and data complexity, scalability, and security.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining efficient, high-performance applications and components.
Good understanding of databases, caching mechanisms, messaging queues, and distributed systems.
Practical experience using modern AI tools to enhance development workflows, improve productivity, maintain code quality, and solve complex technical challenges.
Advanced English proficiency (C1 or above), with the ability to communicate confidently in professional and technical environments.
Strong ownership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
An engineering or technical degree is highly preferred.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Lumen, Yii, or Symfony.
Experience with Docker, ELK Stack, RabbitMQ, Redis, and GitLab CI/CD.
Strong knowledge of database technologies and optimization techniques for high-traffic websites.
Experience working with large-scale platforms handling millions of visits or billions of daily impressions.
Experience with distributed systems, real-time data processing, and high-volume data pipelines.
Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools and their integration into engineering workflows.
Interview Process
The interview process consists of four stages:
- HR Interview
- Internal Technical Interview
- Meeting with the Location Manager
- Meeting with the Client’s Team
